Welcome To Oklahoma BPA
Business Professionals of America is a dynamic student organization dedicated to developing and empowering student leaders in the fields of business and information technology. Oklahoma BPA was established in 2001 and is currently the third largest state association with more than 7,300 members across 400 local chapters statewide. As part of our mission we are committed to develop and empower student leaders to discover their passion and change the world by creating unmatched opportunities in learning, professional growth, and service.
OKBPA's mission aligns with the broader objectives of Business Professionals of America, aiming to foster leadership, citizenship, academic excellence, and technological skills among its members. The organization's vision is to be an innovator in Career and Technical Education, providing our members with opportunities for growth through education, competition, community service, and personal development.

Central to OKBPA's offerings is the Workplace Skills Assessment Program (WSAP), which provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate workplace skills learned through business education curricula. Through participation in WSAP, students can demonstrate occupational competencies, broaden their knowledge and skills, expand leadership abilities, and receive recognition for their achievements.

Beyond competitive events, OKBPA emphasizes community service and personal development through programs like the Torch Awards and BPA Cares. The Torch Awards Program encourages professionalism and leadership by guiding students through activities in categories such as Leadership, Service, Cooperation, Knowledge, Friendship, Love, Hope, Faith, and Citizenship. Students accumulate points by engaging in relevant activities, working towards recognition at various levels, from Executive to Ambassador.
The BPA Cares Program motivates chapters to participate in community betterment projects, school improvement initiatives, and election-year activities. It also encourages involvement in environmental action, special Olympics, and membership recruitment, fostering a sense of civic responsibility and community engagement among members.

Oklahoma has demonstrated remarkable growth and success in recent years. At the 2024 National Leadership Conference in Chicago, we secured two national officer positions and 34 national championships, along with numerous other awards, highlighting Oklahoma's strong presence and commitment to excellence in business education.

Oklahoma Business Professionals of America stands as a testament to the state's commitment to fostering leadership, professional growth, and community service among its youth. Through competitive events, community engagement, and personal development programs, OKBPA equips students with the skills and experiences necessary to excel in the business world and make meaningful contributions to society.
