Explanation of Activities
BPA Membership

Based on the total number of students that you have in your program, this is the % that are actually BPA members. For example, if you have a total of 100 students in your program you would need to have the following number of BPA members registered by December 1st to reach each level (Platinum - 75, Gold - 50, Silver - 25, Bronze - 10).
Conference Attendance
To meet this requirement your chapter must have both the advisor and members attend the conferences listed within each level. The Oklahoma BPA office will be able to determine if this requirement is met on an annual basis.

Scholarships
To meet this requirement you must have BPA members apply for OK BPA and/or National BPA scholarships.

BPA Week Campaign
BPA week is the second full week in February. Oklahoma BPA and National BPA put out activities to participate in. Local chapters can also plan and host their own activities during this week to showcase BPA at their schools. The new BPA Cares week that occurs in November counts towards the Star Chapter Award for “How did your chapter celebrate BPA week”
Community Service Projects
Business Professionals of America (BPA) encourages community service through various programs and initiatives, offering opportunities for members to contribute to your local communities. These projects can range from supporting local food banks, tutoring, assisting the elderly, clothing drives, etc.
Participation in one (1) Non Competitive Event Contest

State Executive Council (SEC)

To meet this requirement you must currently have a member that serves on State Executive Council or a member applying to serve on State Executive Council.
Advisor and Student Certification Series
These can be found on the BPA Membership Gateway (BPA Member Gateway). If you have already completed the ADVISOR series in its current format you can use a past completion for credit. Students must complete each year.
Due to changes from National BPA, Advisors can watch a minimum of 5 hours of the recorded Advisor Learning Series to meet this requirement. Attending any live sessions will also count. You can access webinars at https://members.bpa.org/webinars/
Torch Awards
The Business Professionals of America Torch Awards Program is designed to promote professionalism and leadership in both career development and personal growth. Visit our Torch Awards page to learn more about each of the levels.
Chain of Love Service Project
This service project benefits Oklahoma Special Olympics. to achieve Platinum or Gold levels your chapter is required to make a donation to the Oklahoma Chain of Love project. Check the Important Dates document for the deadline.

BPA Cares and Quality Chapter Awards
Participation in the BPA Cares program means that members are engaging in worthwhile projects that support the betterment of their community while having the opportunity to receive recognition from the national organization. Chapters can apply for these awards at: https://bpa.org/bpa-cares/.

The Quality Chapter Distinction Award is designed to recognized chapters who have met the requirements of being actively involved in Business Professionals of America. These chapter have planned programs, an approved budget, elected officers and more. chapters can apply at: https://bpa.org/students/scholarships-and-awards/quality-chapter-distinction/.

OK BPA Recognition Awards

To meet this requirement chapters must submit nominations for the following awards that are announced at State Leadership Conference. The nomination forms are located on the Scholarships and Awards page.

Elect Local Chapter Officers
To meet this requirement local chapters must elect local chapter officers to lead their chapter.
Program of Work
To meet this requirement local chapters must complete a Program of Work, which is designed to outline the goals and activities for your chapter for the membership year.
Monthly Meetings
To meet this requirement local chapters must meet monthly and keep meeting agendas and meeting minutes for historical purposes.
