Oklahoma Specific WSAP Information

Oklahoma does not offer regional competitions. All events are hosted at our annual State Leadership Conference in March. Each September, we release our Oklahoma WSAP Guidelines to help local chapters prepare for state leadership conference. The primary difference between the Oklahoma WSAP Guidelines and the National WSAP Guidelines, is the fact that some of our state events may differ in regard to pre-submits or equipment provided compared to nationals.

Events Per Student (all divisions):

  • Students may compete in up to two (2) competitive events with only one of those events being a team event.

    • Acceptable event combinations per student:

      • 1 individual event & 1 team event

      • 2 individual events

  • OPEN events do not count towards the total events per student. Students can compete in as many OPEN events as they would like provided they register for them during online registration. These are all online objective tests.

Many of the competitive events for BPA that are part of the Workplace Skills Assessment Program (WSAP) have an online objective exam component. In some cases, this objective exam will determine those that advance on to compete at State Leadership Conference. For the 2025-26 membership year, online testing will open on January 20th and close on February 3rd. You can view the Oklahoma WSAP Guidelines to see which events have an online testing component. Throughout the membership year, we will be sending out additional information regarding online testing and making sure local chapters have registered their testing liaison.
